This big-screen spin-off from the much-loved TV comedy series sees the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard company save the day when a crew of a German aircraft take the vicar and villagers hostage in the church. 

Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, James Beck, Arnold Ridley, Ian Lavender, Bill Pertwee, Frank Williams and Edward Sinclair all reprise their roles from the series.
