Len Goodman’s departure from BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing is to be marked with a special DVD looking back at some of his favourite moments on the show.
Due for release on 28 November and now available to preorder from Amazon.co.uk, The Best of Strictly Come Dancing: Len’s Grand Finale sees the popular judge relive some of the best, funniest and most exciting moments in the history of the show.
Highlights include Jake Wood and Janette Manrara’s ‘snake hips’ Salsa, Abbey Clancy and Aljaž Skorjanec’s beautiful American Smooth, Jill Halfpenny and Darren Bennett ‘s jumping Jive during series 2 – the first dance to ever get 40 marks – and Glitter-ball Trophy winning performances from Harry Judd, Louis Smith and Tom Chambers.
And of course no Strictly compilation would be complete without some of the funniest dance moves that have taken place beneath the glitter ball including Ann Widdecombe’s Samba at Blackpool, John Sergeant’s Paso Doble and Jeremy Vine using a plastic horse as a prop for the Tango!
Fans are also being promised “a unique look” behind the scenes of one of BBC One’s most popular programmes.
Len Goodman said: “It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable experience choosing my most memorable moments on Strictly Come Dancing for this DVD and I really do hope that the fans will enjoy re-living them again too. It’s definitely a ten from Len!”
Paul Hembury, Head of Entertainment Talent at BBC Worldwide, added: “Len Goodman has been integral to Strictly Come Dancing and is a much- loved member of the Strictly family.
“We’re thrilled to be able to work with him and offer fans a cherished memento of his time on Strictly and a chance to keep some of the most fabulous Strictly dances of all-time in their DVD collections.”
