Men Behaving Badly star Caroline Quentin is to return to BBC One in a new sitcom from the writer of Smack The Pony and Feel The Force.
Expected to air in the New Year, Life Of Riley stars Quentin as the recently remarried Maddy who finds herself presiding over a modern-day extended family: children, step-children, step-siblings and half-siblings, with a few ex-partners and in-laws thrown in.
Producers describe Maddy as “like Roseanne but thinner, like Seinfeld but with dirtier trainers, like Victor Meldrew – but she does believe it.”
The series is directed by Men Behaving Badly director Martin Dennis.
