Rowan Atkinson returns as Johnny English

Here at seenit.co.uk we (obviously) love our films but we rarely get REALLY excited about what’s heading to the big screen.

Today is an exception.

Our good friends at Universal Pictures UK have sent us the trailer for the long awaited return of British super-spy Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson), last seen defeating French wrongdoer Pascal Sauvage in 2003’s painfully funny 007 spoof.

Now, after an eight year wait, the definitive ‘man for all seasons’ is back for a brand new adventure which hits screens on October 7th.

In Johnny English Reborn, the most unlikely officer in Her Majesty’s Secret Service must stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.

In the years since MI7’s top spy vanished off the grid, he has been honing his unique skills in a remote region of Asia. But when his agency superiors learn of an attempt against the Chinese premier’s life, they hunt down the highly unorthodox agent and enlist his help.

Now that the world needs him once again, Johnny English is back in action. With one shot at redemption, he must employ the latest in hi-tech gadgets to unravel a web of conspiracy that runs throughout the KGB, CIA and even MI-7.

With mere days until a heads of state conference, one man must use every trick in his playbook to protect us all. For English, disaster may be an option, but failure never is.

Joining Atkinson are Dominic West, Gillian Anderson, Daniel Kaluuya and genuine ‘Bond Girl’ Rosamund Pike.

You can re-live the gags and thrills of the original Johnny English – still the best ever 007 spoof – on DVD from the seenit.co.uk store
