Sky+ gains new on demand features

February 24, 2016 - Staff@seenituk

sky_boxsetSky is rolling out an update to its Sky+ set top boxes which it says will make binge-watching favourite on demand boxsets “even easier”.

Once customers receive the update they can download an entire series to their STB to watch, with a new ‘watch next episode’ prompt appearing towards the end of each episode to allow instant watching of the next.

The new features coincide with the exclusive arrival of The Tunnel: Sabotage and Billions, the new drama from SHOWTIME, on Sky Box Sets. The broadcaster says more exclusive shows will be added later this year.

Michele Swaine, Director of Product Development said: “We’re introducing even more features that reflect the changing TV habits of our customers.

“Up to 95% of viewing of dramas, for example, can take place after the episode is shown live as people increasingly choose to enjoy shows on demand.

“We’re committed to giving customers the choice of how they enjoy the shows they love whether that’s live TV or moving from episode to episode of your favourite box set. Customers can look forward to some really exciting updates in 2016 to Sky+.”
