Sky has commissioned a second series of Alan Partridge’s Mid Morning Matters.
The series, originally shown on YouTube, finds Partridge (Steve Coogan) employed as radio disc jockey on the digital radio station, North Norfolk Digital.
Filming is now underway for the second series which SKy says will “premiere exclusively on Sky Atlantic HD” in 2013.
The first series will released by BBC DVD in November and can be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
Announcing the second series, Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy for Sky, said: “We can’t get enough of Alan. The first series was central to our Sky Atlantic comedy launch and we want more.”
Henry Normal, CEO of series producers Baby Cow, added: “A second series of Mid Morning Matters direct for Sky Atlantic. Alan’s fortunes have finally turned.”
