Sky to promote ‘top pick’ content to Sky+ users

July 20, 2016 - Staff@seenituk

sky_homepageSky is to start flagging up ‘top pick’ shows to users of its Sky+ set top boxes as it seeks to drive more use of its on demand content.

A curated list of shows will be displayed on the ‘homepage’ users access via their remote control and will feature a mix of broadcast shows and, depending on the customer’s subscription, box sets from the firm’s growing on demand library.

The update will rollout to users in August.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Director of TV and content products commented: “We know that customers are watching even more TV, and with every update to Sky+ we’re making it even better.

“Since the Homepage was launched on demand viewing has increased by 209%.

“That’s why we’re introducing Top Picks, a brand new Homepage section, telling our customers about even more fantastic shows, both live and On Demand, recommended by our TV experts.”
