You know what it’s like – you arrive home at the end of a busy or difficult day, famished, yet too tired to cook, so you head online to your favourite pizza firm only to find yourself paralysed by the seemingly infinite choice of sides, pizzas, desserts and add-ons.

Should you have a traditional garlic bread to start your meal, or do you fancy trying some tasty chicken goujons? Or some wedges? Or maybe some kind of combo? What sort of pizza base? Will you choose your own toppings or go for a standard recipe?

If there’s more than one of you, do you share or each have your own pizza? Or split the difference with a half and half option?

Chances are, there are dishes on the menu you’ve never ordered, because you’re too tired and too baffled by the array of choices to decide that today’s the day to finally be brave and try something new.

In the time you could have cooked, you instead sit staring blankly at the screen, before eventually cheating and re-ordering the same combination you had last time. And the time before that.

If this sounds familiar then help is at hand, courtesy of Domino’s.

The pizza chain’s top boffins have been hard at work developing a new Tummy Translator app which uses the sounds your hungry tummy makes to help choose the right meal for you.

tummy-rumbler2 As the video below shows, the free app is based on some solidly old-school British technology that’s been cleverly updated and squashed down to fit inside modern Android and iOS smartphones.

Not only does the app reveal the right pizza your tummy wants, it also lets you quickly order online.

Does this updated piece of 60’s technology spell the end to indecisive pizza ordering?

Let us know below.
