August 12, 2017 - Staff@seenituk

EA Games says it’ll reveal the new Starfighter Assault mode from Star Wars Battlefront II on August 21st.

A follow up 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront, the game features a single player campaign, split screen (consoles only) and online multiplayer modes, and promises to takes fans through a wide range of iconic locations from all three eras: prequel, classic and new trilogy, including new in-game locations such as Yavin 4’s jungle canopies, the spaceport town of Mos Eisley, and Starkiller Base.

In a post on its website, EA says:

Star Wars Battlefront II: is roaring into Gamescom with a never-before-seen trailer and a live gameplay debut of Starfighter Assault mode, including the all-new multiplayer space combat.

You’ll be able to watch the gameplay reveal live on August 21 at 9:30 AM PT, which will pit two teams of your favorite Star Wars™ Game Changers against one another in a multi-stage original trilogy-era space battle.

Teams will face off in a swirling dogfight in the Fondor: Imperial Shipyard map, weaving around an Imperial Star Destroyer complete with speedy fighters, thundering bombers, distinct hero ships, and more.

Will the brave pilots of the Rebel Alliance triumph against the Imperial Navy, or will the intrepid aces of the Galactic Empire foil the insurgents’ plans?

The livestream will be your first glimpse at the vastly improved starfighter combat, with superior controls, deeper customization, and role-based team play featuring an all new class-based system.

Star Wars Battlefront II will be released on November 17, 2017 and is available to pre-order for Playstation 4, X-Box One and PC from Amazon.co.uk.
