You should have been reading this review a few weeks ago but somehow (I’m blaming a recent spell of illness) I managed to forget to publish it, which is a pity because this mobile edition of the latest Star Wars game is a corker.
Even on a pretty standard phone the graphics are clear and reasonably detailed and although my mobile only produces some pretty tinny sound, the in game effects and music help build a great gaming environment.
Wielding the force requires a lot of button pressing which felt quite fiddly at first but I was quickly forcing pushing the bad guys and making good progress through the game.
In terms of graphics, sounds and game playing, mobile gaming will always differ from the experience of playing on one of the console formats but often, and this game is a prime example of this, mobile games can be a lot more fun.
The levels are sensibly sized so that gameplay isn’t constantly disturbed by the need to change bus/train/tube and if you’re wondering about longevity I’m still playing a full month after later.
