TalkTalk offers Android smartphone for just £1.25 per month

TalkTalkTalkTalk Mobile has announced what could be theUK’s cheapest smartphone deal.

The company is offering the entry level Huawei Ascend Y210 from £1.25 a month with no upfront cost for the first six months, then £5 a month for the remaining 18 months of the contract.

The tariff is one of three ‘75 per cent off’ deals available exclusively to existing TalkTalk customers and includes 100 minutes of calls to any network, 250 texts and 100MB of data.

Also available are the Huawei Ascend G510 and Huawei Ascend G330, each available on TalkTalk’s Small Plan for just £2.50 a month for six months, then £10 for 18 months or £3.75 on the Medium Plan.

The company launched its mobile products last September to offer customers a ‘quad-play’ service including sroadband, home phone, TV and mobile.

Dan Meader, Mobile Director at TalkTalk, said: “It’s amazing that TalkTalk customers can now enjoy all the benefits of a smartphone, like being able to check emails and look up maps on the go, for less than it costs to catch a bus in most parts of Britain.

“This is another example of TalkTalk and Huawei working together to bring lower prices and better value to British customers.”

The offer runs until Monday, August 5 and is exclusively for TalkTalk customers.
