Tech show sees mass of new eBook readers announced

A mass of new eBook readers are set for release this year after manufacturers used the CES 2010 electronics show to unveil new models.

Companies with devices on show include Samsung’s E6 and E101 models which feature a 6″ and 10″ screen respectively. Both apparently allow the taking of notes with a stylus and will arrive in the US later this year.

Meanwhile US publishers Hearst used the event to unveil their Skiff reader which offers 3G connectivity and an 11.5″ screen.

Also shown was a two-screen reader/netbook combo from Entourage which includes built-in Wi-Fi and offers the ability to plug in an external keyboard.

Which of the new readers will make it to the UK and what price is uncertain.
