Warner Bros have issued the teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, the much anticipated final instalment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman saga.
Series regulars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman all return for the film which is set for a Summer 2012 release.
The film also stars Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Locations for Nolan’s Batman curtain call pan three continents and include the American cities of Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles, as well as sites in India, England and Scotland.
The Dark Knight Rises is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Legendary Pictures.
Set for release beginning July 20, 2012, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
