The Devil’s Business

Part ghost story, part gangster flick, The Devil’s Business is an atmospheric British chiller about two hit-men who break into an empty house one evening only to find something spooky going on.

Even with a running time of just 70 minutes the plot isn’t quite big enough to last the distance and the low budget is painfully obvious.

The cast (Billy Clarke, Jack Gordon, Jonathan Hansler) do a good job at lending credibility to a slightly daft plot even if, at times, Gordon seems to be channelling Pike from Dad’s Army.

Fans of TV’s ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ will find much to like as will anyone who likes their chills served with a touch of creativity and pluck.

Released by Metrodome, The Devil’s Business arrives in cinemas on August 17th.
