The Lady joins the iPad

The Lady, Britain’s longest running women’s weekly magazine, is now available in Apple’s Newsstand for iPad.

First published in 1885, the magazine offers topical stories, to beauty and cookery tips as well as it’s famous ‘Classifieds’ section.

Apple’s Newstand allows readers to buy single copies and subscriptions to magazines using their iTunes account.

The magazine is also publishing a separate digital edition via Exact Editions, the firm behind the iPad app.

Ben Budworth, Publisher of The Lady, commented: “The Lady looks fantastic on the iPad and I know that our readers will be thrilled to be able to access and search all the latest issues. It is very pleasing to be able to offer the title across platforms with the Exact solution as our readers can now access our magazine at all times!”

Daryl Rayner, Managing Director of Exact Editions said: “We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious magazine in the digital environment and to be giving it the international platform it deserves. The classified section is even more usable given the possibilities of phoning and e-mailing directly from the page.”
