Former This Life star Daniela Nardini has joined the cast of BBC One’s award-winning drama Waterloo Road.
Nardini plays new science teacher Esther Fairclough, a passionate, driven but maverick science teacher who has an unconventional approach to inspiring her pupils.
Describing her character, the actress said: “Esther is mildly dangerous with the potential to get more so. She is passionate about her cause but unfortunately doesn’t know how to encourage and promote her views without getting carried away.”
The character will make her on-screen debut in the third instalment of the 8th series, scheduled to transmit on BBC One in 2013.
