Three signs up 3m customers to 4G services

December 5, 2014 - Staff@seenituk

three_kittyMobile network Three says more than 3m customers are using its high-speed 4G data service just 10 months after launch.

Unlike other networks, Three offers 4G at no extra cost to any customer with a compatible handset.

It started offering the service in March and says more than a third of its 8 million customers are now enjoying faster speeds while on the move.

Dave Dyson, Chief Executive of Three, said: “The rollout of new capacity is progressing well and, most importantly for me, customer satisfaction is higher than ever. With an advanced 3G network already in place all our customers are able to benefit from a reliable and high performing network.”

Three’s 4G coverage is currently limited to just 48% of the population but the firm is promising to boost this to 98% next year.

Dyson added: “The addition of low frequency spectrum is just one part of our plans to expand Three’s coverage and bring our network to more people in more places in 2015”.
