The Big Picture interviews Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt and Benedict Cumberbatch at the premiere of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Tomas Alfredson’s big screen adaptation of John le Carre’s classic spy thriller.
The film sees Oldman take up the mantle of legendary spy George Smiley – immortalised on the small screen by Sir Alec Guinness – a recently retired spy doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service.
When a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the very heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects….
