If you didn’t get to this weekend’s Comic Con (no, we didn’t either) then you missed a few genuine treats including a chance to see a ‘Visual Effects Concept Test’ from the new TRON movie.
At a time when the Atari 2600 was still the best games machine ever released, TRON introduced the masses to the concepts of virtual reality and computer graphics.
After more than two decades of anticipation and some rather undignified begging on our part, here’s a glimpse at what’s to come in the sequel:
The plot sees Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES) who is investigating his father’s disappearance, finding himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.
Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
