The iPad and iPhone edition of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution has been updated to bring a number of improvements to the game.
Additions include new in-game achievements, 10 new scenarios and animated units.
The game arrived in the iTunes App store in August 2009 offering 16 playable civilizations, new graphics and an entirely new gesture-based interface that takes advantage of the power of the platform.
“We’re thrilled to deliver our signature strategy game on such an exciting and dynamic platform,” said creator Sid Meier at the time.
The Civ franchise has sold more than 9 million units worldwide since it first arrived on PCs in 1991.
The upgraded iOS version is free for existing owners.
