With less than two months before she headlines the UK opening of the multi award-winning musical Memphis, star Beverley Knight has been visiting the real-life city to immerse herself in its music, history and culture.
The multi-award winning singer visited legendary landmarks such as Sun Studio and Willie Mitchell’s Royal Studio, where she recorded a number from the show on Al Green’s very own microphone.
Memphis begins performances at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London from 9 October 2014. Opening night takes place 23 October.
