Two cases in and the third series of Whitechapel is shaping up to be one of ITV’s best drama runs in years.
The new format already feels like the norm and the latest case – only slight spoilers below – seemed stronger then the opening mystery.
Guest star Paul Chequer is an actor who deserves a leading role, Sinchronicity was almost six years ago and it’s a crying shame he’s not more widely used.
The casting directors of Britain really need to be made to watch tonight’s finale to see what a fantastic actor he is.
Camilla Power was also fab as the far too opinionated visiting copper DI Mina Norroy.
Though Norroy clearly thinks highly of herself, her inability to spot how unwelcome her anti-Miles comments were suggests she’s probably not that great a detective!
Next week sees the start of the final case of the series.but hopefully not the final case for Chandler and Co.
