Classic drama series Colditz is coming to digital channel Yesterday, which is also showing a new documentary offering an emotive account of life inside the renowned prison from which it was boasted no-one could escape.
However, despite the boast, there were escapes and the documentary delves deep into some of those incredible escape attempts and ingenious plans prisoners made to get out of the fortress, whilst also touching upon the epic fight for survival and conditions in which prisoners lived.
Paying tribute to those incarcerated at the infamous prison, Colditz – The Legend airs on Monday 25th October at 10pm and is aimed at both those who know the history of the tale as well as younger generations looking to discover its mysteries.
Starring Robert Wagner and David McCallum, the Colditz, series, has been absent from UK screens for over 15 years. Showing exclusively on Yesterday, channel bosses are expecting it to be a popular addition to the schedule.
