Museum Secrets returns to Yesterday on Friday 22 June with a new look at the treasures that lie beyond the public galleries in some of the world’s most prestigious museums.
The first episode features London’s Imperial War Museum. and includes Odette Samson, a housewife-spy who survived Nazi torture.
Viewers will also discover how Churchill risked his life in the Blitz, how a physicist silences the Kaiser’s artillery, how a volunteer cold warrior faces radioactive fallout and how 21st Century soldiers become invisible.
