AMC has confirmed it will be bringing Ride with Norman Reedus to its UK channel, exclusively available to BT TV customers.
The six-part travel documentary series sees The Walking Dead star and biker-enthusiast Reedus explore motorcycle culture and its history and celebrate some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen in the US.
Guests include actor Balthazar Getty, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, Mastodon singer and guitarist Brent Hinds, artist Jake Lamagno, custom bike builder Jason Paul Michaels, and artist Imogen Lehtonen journeying to locations such as Death Valley, the Pacific Coast Highway, Appalachia, Louisiana, Texas, and the Florida Keys.
Reedus and his guests take in the local flavour on their travels, going dune-buggying, riding the bike of the future, visiting a moonshine distillery, racing porta-potties and even meeting with a high voodoo priestess. The series also welcomes as a guest the legendary actor Peter Fonda, whose film Easy Rider first inspired Reedus to start riding motorcycles.
“I’m incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows,” said Reedus.
The series will launch on Monday 2nd January 2017 at 9:00pm on channel number 332 on BT TV and on Sky channel 192 for BT Sport Pack subscribers. AMC is also available in HD on both platforms.
