BlackBerry named ‘World’s Best Mobile OS’ by tech magazine

blackberry_PRBlackBerry’s 10.2 operating system has been named ‘The World’s Best Mobile OS’ by Digit, India’s largest selling technology magazine.

The magazine tested the leading operating systems – BlackBerry 10.2, Android 4.4, iOS 7.1.2 and Windows Phone 8.1 operating systems – on their performance for email, contact management, calling, photography, search and video.

BlackBerry’s software won the overall test with a rating of 56.91 and was also judged to be the best OS for email, contact management, calling, photography, search and video.

“This was by far the most comprehensive test we have ever done, as the Digit Test Centre spent over 400 man-hours, meticulously checking over a thousand individual parameters for each OS, in order to arrive at a true and unbiased answer to the question, ‘What’s the World’s best mobile OS out of the box?’

“By winning five of the ten aspects we tested for, BlackBerry OS 10.2 is a deserved winner of the title,” said Robert Sovereign-Smith, Executive Editor, Digit.

“We are extremely excited with the results of the test, as it is a testament to our commitment to provide the best experience to our consumers, without compromise,” said Sunil Lalvani, Managing Director, BlackBerry India.
