Series two of US drama Rectify will get its UK premiere on October 20th, BT and AMC announced today.

The show stars Aden Young as Daniel Holden, a man released from jail after serving 19 years on Georgia’s Death Row before DNA evidence disputed the state’s original case.

Daniel, who was only 18 when convicted and sentenced to die for the brutal rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl, returns to his family and to his hometown where the murder occurred and where many still believe he is guilty and local prosecutors are determined to return him to jail.

Season two sees Daniel trying to become an active participant in his own life once again and forced to confront and accept what really happened on the night of Hanna’s murder if he is ever to find any peace.

Viewers who’ve missed the first series will be able to catch-up with the story on Tuesday 13th October when the channel will show all six episodes back-to-back from 10:30 pm.

October also sees the arrival on the channel of Breaking Bad, one of AMC’s flagship shows which has previously aired it the UK on Spike and has been available from streaming service Netflix.

AMC is exclusive to BT customers through BT TV and the BT Sports Pack on Sky.
