Phone and broadband provider BT is offering customers the chance to grab 12 months free Caller Display.
The company recently announced its annual price increase, including a rise in the cost of line rental from £15.45 to £15.99 a month.
This year’s increase also introduces charges for the popular Caller Display and BT Answer 1571 call features.
The increases drew negative media coverage, with some outlets keen to suggest a link between them and BT’s entry into the TV sports market.
However the January 4th increases are an annual event long familiar to families recovering from their Christmas and New Year spending sprees.
Customers unhappy at the new charge for Caller Display are now being offered the chance to get the service as part of a free BT Privacy at Home bundle in return for signing a new 12 month line rental agreement.
The offer is only available to customers who already have BT Privacy with Caller Display and users must pre-register online before 6th December 2013.
