BT Sport to offer live BDO World Professional Darts Championship coverage

BT_SPORT_LOGO_380Darts fans will be able to enjoy nine days of live darts action on BT Sport after the broadcaster signed a deal to broadcast the BDO World Professional Darts Championship live from the Lakeside Country Club in January 2015.

BT Sport, which will share its coverage with the BBC, will broadcast live each night throughout the tournament which will run between Saturday, January 3 and Sunday, January 11.

Ray Stubbs with Helen Skelton will cover the contest, which sees three times winner Martin Adams, three times runner-up Tony O’Shea and 2013 winner Scott Waites battle it out to be named world champion.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport said: “We are delighted to be showing the BDO World Darts Championships, adding to the fantastic live sport and shows we have on our channels.

“We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of sport including top-flight football, first class Rugby, Motorsport, American Sport and much more.”
