Channel 5 has commissioned its first original drama series in eight years.
Executive Produced by Paul Marquess (The Bill, Footballers’ Wives, Hollyoaks), Evidence is a ten-part procedural crime series and will air next year.
Each self-contained episode follows a different case, from the committing of the crime, through its investigation and then to the final conclusion.
The plots centre around three core detectives whose professional and personal approach to the job of policing “drives the series”.
The broadcaster says the show will use filming techniques and a directorial approach usually associated with fly-on-the-wall documentaries.
