Cinemagoers will be taken closer to the tarmac than ever before when Le Mans ’66, starring Academy Award winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale, is released in 4DX and ScreenX on 15th November, exclusively at Cineworld.
Audiences will travel back through time for an inspiring underdog story for the ages, based on the real events of how the Ford Motor Company took on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferarri.
The 4DX experience will put audiences in the driver’s seat, with every twist and turn from the intense and visceral racing action showcased in Le Mans ‘66 being felt through advanced motion seating, along with wind, mist, fog, lighting, and scent enhancing the cinematic experience.
With ScreenX’s 270-degree projection, the audience is truly immersed in the experience, taking thrill levels up a gear to a whole new level. With the film extended to the side of walls of the cinema auditorium, viewers will feel transported onto the race track.
Away from the racing circuit audiences will take a journey through the inspirational true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale).
Together they battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and go head-to-head with Ferrari, one of the most dominant race car brands in history, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
4DX and ScreenX continues to make its mark across the world by setting new box office records for the formats. In Oct, a new state of the art ‘4DX with ScreenX’ auditorium opened in Tokyo, Japan, allowing the brand to expand ever further.
This success is expected to continue with the release of Le Mans ’66 on November 15, with audiences seeking the best cinematic experiences to enhance the thrill of the world’s most renowned and feared race circuit.
Le Mans ’66 is in UK and Ireland cinemas from 15th November 2019
