Apple has confirmed the latest version of its iPad and iPhone operating system will be available to download from next week.
iOS 7 was unveiled in June and sports a new, simplified look which drops the use of leather, wood and other real-world inspired textures in favour of a new flatter design.
The software also includes some new features, including a new control centre which gives quicker access to controls for Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and screen brightness settings.
User also gain access to AirDrop, Apple’s WifI enabled file transfer tool and improved multi-tasking.
Apple says the new look gives the software “a cleaner, simpler look”.
iOS 7 will be available as a a free download from September 18th and is compatible with iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation).
