Romantically minded Kindle users in North America will soon be able to buy even more tales of true love and romance after the online retailer announced a new publishing imprint, Montlake Romance.
The imprint will debut later this year with The Other Guy’s Bride – a novel by Connie Brockway, a two-time winner of the Romance Writers Association’s “RITA Award” for best historical romance and author of 17 romance titles.
“Romance is one of our biggest and fastest growing categories, particularly among Kindle customers, so we can’t wait to make ‘The Other Guy’s Bride’ and other compelling titles available to romance fans around the world,” said Jeff Belle, Vice President, Amazon Publishing.
“I am thrilled to be the launch author for Montlake Romance, bringing readers the freshest, most innovative and compelling love stories possible,” said Connie Brockway in a statement issued by Amazon.com
Belle said the retail was “busy building publishing businesses that will focus on additional genres as well.”
Amazon says its new imprint is named after an area of Seattle and “will publish a broad range of front list titles in popular romance sub-genres, including romantic suspense and contemporary and historic romance novels, as well as fantasy and paranormal.”
As yet there’s no word on when Montlake books will be available lovestruck UK Kindle owners.
