A new BBC Music app is now available for iOS and Android mobile and tablets, bringing music from across the BBC’s TV, radio and online output to the nation’s mobile devices.
The app includes exclusive live music performances, such as Live Lounge sessions, “intimate interviews” with performers and playlists which can be tailored to the user’s musical taste.
Other features include the ability to search and find any track played on BBC Radio from the last seven days and the option to add music tracks to a personal music list and export it to Spotify, Deezer and YouTube to listen to in full.
Bob Shennan, Director of BBC Music, says: “The BBC Music app lets you get straight to the music you love, from In Concert and Live Lounge sessions to Jools Holland, with the tap of a button.
“ This is just the start for us, and we want to hear from users over time to make the BBC Music app the best that it can be, so they can enjoy music from across the BBC – whenever and wherever they are.”
