O2 has released a new browser-based version of its its popular TU Go calling and messaging app, allowing PC and Mac users to stay in touch from their computers without downloading any new software.
During the beta phase, customers can make calls and send and receive texts, with the ability to receive calls through TU Go for Web coming soon.
O2 says the service works best on Chrome and Firefox but promises support for additional browsers “in the coming months.”
“With TU Go we gave our customers even greater flexibility, giving them the ability to make calls and send texts on more devices and in more places,” said Caroline Parnell, Head of Digital Consumer Products for O2 in the UK.
“TU Go for Web brings that same freedom to customers who want to bring their mobile number to their PC, without needing to download any extra software.”
