Orange’s San Francisco II Android smartphone goes on sale

UK mobile network Orange is now shipping its new San Francisco II Android handset.

The phone is the successor to its popular and award-winning San Francisco smartphone and runs the latest Android gingerbread 2.3 operating system.

Featuring a 800 MHz processor, MP3 playerand 5MP camera, the San Francisco II is available on pay as you go and pay monthly plans.

The handset also features a 3.5” touchscreen, 512 MB of internal memory and a slimmer and more lightweight body than its forerunner.

Paul Jevons, Director of Products and Devices, Orange UK said: “We are delighted to be following up on the success of the award winning original with such a full-featured product we expect it to be really popular with consumers in the run up to Christmas”

The San Francisco II is available exclusively from Orange shops, Orange telesales and orange.co.uk/shop priced £99 on Orange pay as you go with a £10 top-up and free on 24 month plans of £10.50 per month.
