Sky Mobile marks new switching rules with deals on Apple and Samsung handsets

Sky Mobile is offering new joiners the chance to save up to £150 on the latest Apple and Samsung devices when they switch from a rival network.

The promotion is timed to coincide with the start of new rules imposed on the mobile industry by regulator Ofcom which allow customers to switch networks just by sending a single text message to get their PAC code.

Anyone switching to Sky Mobile from today can bag themselves deals on Apple, Samsung, Google and Sony handsets, including the iPhone XR which is available to new joiners for £36 per month with 8GB and Unlimited Calls & Texts on a Swap24 plan, or they can choose the Samsung Galaxy S10e for £32 per month on the same tariff.

Those who just want a new SIM can save £60 on an 8GB per month plan with Unlimited Calls & Texts.

“The arrival of text-to-switch will make it much easier for customers to move to a mobile provider that has the right offer to meet their needs.” said Sophia Ahmad, Director of Sky Mobile.

“When we launched Sky Mobile our aim was to be the most flexible network, giving customers choice and savings every month.

“Our approach has proved to be very popular – we surpassed the 1 million customer mark in June, and we’re confident we’ll continue to see success now switching mobile networks is so much easier for customers.”
