Three to offer updated iPad on contracts

Apple's new iPad features a high resolution screen
Mobile company Three is offering would-be iPad owners a chance to snap up Apple’s revamped tablet for just £99 on a two-year contract.

For that price, customers will receive the entry-level 16GB version of the iPad tied to a 2 year data plan costing £29 per month and offering a generous 15GB per month data allowance.

The full cost of the iPad and plan over the contract is £795.

A standalone 3G iPad from Apple costs £499 without the data plan, meaning Three’s data plan will effectively cost you £12.33 per month on the above tariff option.

Apple announced the revamped iPad earlier this month, adding a higher resolution display and support for faster mobile internet technologies.

“Teaming up our leading-edge HSPA+ network with the innovative new iPad is great news for our customers,” said Thomas Malleschitz, marketing director at Three.

“Our customers already enjoy superfast internet on the move, and with an excellent range of great value price plans and our leadership in fast UK mobile broadband, we look forward to being the network of choice for new iPad customers.”
