Jersey and Guernsey residents can now obtain a YouView box as part of a bundle from local ISP JT.
In a statement Barna Kutvolgyi, M.D of JT’s Global Consumer Business, said the firm was “delighted to introduce YouView exclusively into the Channel Islands’ market as a cost effective alternative to subscription based TV services and as an enhancement to existing free-to-air TV.”
Customers will have a choice between a 500GB and 1TB YouVIew box as part of a bundle starting from £34.99 per month.
Hull and East Yorkshire broadband customers served by KC can opt for a new ‘KC TV’ bundle which includes a free 500GB box.
Customers of YouView shareholders BT and TalkTalk can already enjoy YouView as part of bundles which include additional premium content.
Launched in July, the £70m project is also backed by the UK’s major free to air broadcasters and offers catch-up TV alongside broadcast channels on a single box.
