YouView updates iPhone app with series record

March 13, 2013 - Staff@seenituk

YouView_App_series_linkBroadcast and IPTV TV service YouView has given its iPhone and iPad remote record app a major update, adding series ink and enhanced programme listings.

The app offers 7-day listings for over 70 digital TV and radio channels for the next seven days, with full programme information details and a ‘Now & Next’ schedule.

Previously users were limited to recording a single episode of any series when recording via the app, however the update now allows them to record each and every episode via Series Link while on the move.

The app is compatible with all YouView boxes, including those sold by high street and online retailers and boxes provided from BT and TalkTalk as part of a TV, phone and broadband bundle.

Users can pair a single box with up to five iOS devices, ensuring all household members can record their favourite shows.

YouView says “further updates to the iOS app and an Android version will be available later this year.”

The YouView App is available free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at: www.itunes.com/appstore

Already offering access to the nation’s most popular catch-up TV services including 4oD and iPlayer, YouView is expected to announce further content providers later this year.
