yahooSearch engine and Flickr owner Yahoo! has unveiled its new logo.

In recent weeks the company has been trialling a number of temporary logos, ahead of the big reveal.

The new logo will start to appear across Yahoo! services and websites from today.

“We wanted a logo that stayed true to our roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embraced the evolution of our products,” said Kathy Savitt, Yahoo! Chief Marketing Officer.
