Kobo kids’ store arrives in UK

June 20, 2014 - Staff@seenituk

Kobo_logo_400UK parents can now give theirs kids access to their Kobo ebook reader safe in the knowledge that they’ll only be able to read and buy age appropriate content.

The firm has brought its Kids’ Store to the UK, giving younger readers access to nearly 100,000 titles while ensuring parents can set spending allowances and trust the store’s safe-search features to limit content choices.

The Kobo’s Kids’ catalogue can be enjoyed on award-winning devices such as the Kobo Aura E Ink eReader or Kobo Arc 7HD tablet, or with Kobo’s free top-ranked reading apps built for the most popular tablets and smartphones.

“As a parent and booklover, I am constantly looking for ways to keep my kids reading within a fun, safe environment as I do my part to try to grow the next generation of readers,” said Michael Tamblyn, President and Chief Content Officer, Kobo.

“The Kobo Kids’ store allows me or my kids to search and browse for ebooks in a way that makes sense, whether by age group, series, or popular characters. Letting them choose their own books also makes for a more engaged reading experience.

“Our mission is to get more people reading more often, and we truly believe UK parents and children will love having an ebook experience just for them.”
