Nat Geo Wild announces Big Cat Week

February 13, 2013 - Staff@seenituk

big_cat_nat_geoNext week marks the start of Big Cat Week on Nat Geo Wild, a series of special programmes looking at some of animal world’s biggest and fastest members.

Ahead of the season, the channel has released this never-before seen footage of a sprinting cheetah, which captured every mesmerising nuance of the cats movement as it reaches tops speeds of 60 + miles per hour.

This was filmed by drawing on the skills of a Hollywood action movie crew, National Geographic and Cincinnati Zoo. The extraordinary footage that follows is a compilation of multiple runs by five cheetahs during three days of filming.
