New Channel 4 series to take viewers behind the scenes of the US Embassy

October 20, 2017 - Staff@seenituk

Channel 4 is taking viewers inside the US Embassy in London with a new three-part observational documentary series made by Field Day Productions.

Filmed over a six month period, the series will give an insight into one of the world’s most important Embassies.

With a new Ambassador in place, major relocation to a new building being planned and tasked to strengthen and expand the US/UK ‘special relationship’ in the time of Brexit, the show promises to reveal how a modern Embassy works at a pivotal moment in history.

Dorothy Byrne, Channel 4 Head of News and Current Affairs, who commissioned the series, said ‘‘This is an important landmark observational documentary series which will give viewers a chance to experience a slice of daily life behind the scenes of this influential Embassy.”

Field Day Executive Producer Sally Angel said: “We are delighted to be working on our first commission for Channel 4 on a series that will open up the workings of a previously closed piece of America that sits inside the UK.”
