Sky and Sony announce pan-European movie rights deal

Sky has struck a multi-year, pan-European deal with movie giants Sony which will secure its place as the home of Sony’s latest hits.

The deal covers comprises all new and future Sony releases, including the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, Angry Birds, Money Monster and Inferno and also gives Sky access to titles in 4K.

Sky says its customers will be able to see big name films “only a few months after they have been released in cinemas” and a year before they arrive on other streaming services.
