Three to add Spain and New Zealand to free overseas roaming service

January 6, 2015 - Staff@seenituk

three_kittyMobile network Three has expanded its Feel at Home service, which allows customers to use their existing minutes and data bundles while on holiday at no extra cost, to Spain and New Zealand.

The service is already available in 16 countries, including the US, Indonesia, Australia, Italy, Austria and Hong Kong, with the two new destinations joining from April 1.

Feel at Home is available to customers on pay monthly, Pay-As-You-Go, SIM-only and mobile broadband tariffs.

Dave Dyson, Chief Executive at Three, said: “Feel at Home is unique to Three and offers freedom from unfair roaming charges.

“It is already hugely popular with more than a million of our customers enjoying its benefits since launch. Adding France last year and Spain in 2015 means the two most popular destinations with British holiday makers will be covered.

“Currently, 49% of our customers’ overseas trips are to Feel At Home destinations.  With the addition of Spain and New Zealand, I expect that to rise to about 65%.

“However, my ambition continues to be to eliminate excessive roaming charges globally and we’re working hard to open up even more opportunities for our customers to stay connected and enjoy their phones whilst they’re abroad.”

The network has also partnered with Expedia.co.uk to offer 12% off a pre-paid hotel booking via the UK Expedia app until April 6th.
