‘Lovely Jubbly’ has been revealed as the most commonly used Only Fools and Horses phrase in everyday British life, according to a survey commissioned by TV channel Gold.

Only Fools and Horses continues to be loved by audiences, with nearly a third of British adults describing it as best British comedy of all time and 71% of comedy fans saying newer shows aren’t as good as the classic.

Gold commissioned the survey to mark the launch of Only Fools and Horses: The Favourites, on which airs nightly at 9pm from 31st January and includes commentary from Del Boy actor, Sir David Jason.

Sir David Jason: “I am delighted that Only Fools and Horses still brings so much pleasure to past fans and now a new generation.

“If everyone enjoys these programmes as much as I enjoyed making them, then the world can only be a better place.”

Steve North, General Manager of Gold who commissioned the study to mark Only Fools and Horses: The Favourites said: ‘’Only Fools and Horses remains one of the best-loved sitcoms of our time.

‘’It’s understandable that phrases such as lovely jubbly and cushti remain in the nations hearts and are part of our everyday language.
