Virgin Media has launched a new budget ‘Collection’ of phone, TV and broadband services.
Earlier this year the cable firm revamped its offerings into collections which combine all three services for a single monthly fee.
The new Classic Collection includes Virgin Media’s TiVo service, 30Mb broadband and home phone for £18 per month plus landline rental.
Virgin recently upgraded its TiVo to add reminders and the ability to search its music on demand content, both features missing when the device launched last year.
In February the Advertising Standards Authority banned an advert for the set top box after ruling it “misleading”.
Subscribers will receive 58 channels including “‘a basic HD service”, catch-up content from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 as well as access to “hundreds” of hours of Video on Demand content.
Customers will also have access to thousands of music videos as well as 500 movies to enjoy instantly on demand through Virgin Media’s pay-per-rental service.
Andrew Barron, chief operating officer at Virgin Media, said: “Our customers tell us they love being able to enjoy their favourite TV shows at a time that suits them and that they’re discovering new family favourites thanks to TiVo.
“In introducing the Classic Collection, we continue to make such leading services the standard with Virgin Media.”
The new Classic Collection is available on 12 month contracts as well as on offer with six months half price on 18 month contracts.
