Channel 4 and Crufts have extended their broadcast deal until at least 2022, continuing a partnership which began in 2010.
The broadcaster also announced it’s agreed a new deal with Sunset+Vine that will see the production company continue to produce its Crufts coverage.
Channel 4 Sports Commissioning Editor Joe Blake-Turner said: “Crufts is a unique event and clearly has a special place in the hearts of Channel 4 viewers and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship with the Kennel Club.”
Kennel Club Secretary Caroline Kisko said: “The Kennel Club is delighted to be continuing its relationship with Channel 4.
“The Crufts tv programme in 2018 reached almost 11 million viewers over the four days of the event.
“This gave the Kennel Club, together with Channel 4 and Sunset and Vine, a fantastic opportunity to provide its viewers with a fun, light entertainment show which also fulfilled an important role in helping to educate and inform viewers about the importance of dog ownership and the benefits of dogs in society as a whole.”
Coverage of Crufts 2019 begins this Thursday (7 March 2019) on Channel 4 at 3pm and continues daily throughout the four-day event on Channel 4 and More 4.
