Channel 4 says its 40D catch-up service attracted 31m views last month, up 2m on July’s user levels.
According to the broadcaster, year to date Video on Demand views of its programmes now stand at 273m, a 20.9% increase on the same period last year.

Comedy was the top genre for VoD views in August, with 9.5m views, whilst entertainment scored 8.7m views thanks to hit shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats. Drama, boosted by the popularity of series such as The Killing, received 5.3m views.
